Privacy policy
Sobati is a personal app made and run by one person. This page explains what it stores and why.
What stays on the phone
Your to-dos, money entries, bills, client details, notes and settings are stored on your phone in the app. The backup file you create yourself is saved only where you choose to put it.
What the WhatsApp server stores
If WhatsApp reminders are switched on, the app sends this to the Sobati server, which is run by the app's owner:
- the name and WhatsApp number of each person who gets reminders,
- the reminder schedule, the amount and the bill name used in the message text,
- a record of each message sent and whether it was delivered, read or failed.
Bills, notes, client data and your money entries are not sent to the server.
WhatsApp and Meta
Messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is provided by Meta. Meta processes the number and the message so that it can be delivered, under its own terms and policies.
What is not done
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no cookies on this site.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone for their own use.
- No messages to people who have not agreed to get them.
Stopping messages and deleting data
Anyone who gets a reminder can ask to stop it by replying to the message or by writing to the contact below. On request, their name, number and message records are deleted from the server.
Security
The server accepts only requests that carry a secret token, uses HTTPS only, and keeps its secrets outside the code and the app.
